Cheese-Stuffed Persian Beef Rolls (Rolet Goosht Ba Panir)
"Experience the ultimate Persian comfort food with these succulent beef ribbons folded into a decadent, nutmeg-scented Gouda cream."
Instructions
Heat a wide pan over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook slowly, breaking it up with a spoon, until evenly browned and tender.
Add the chopped spinach and sauté briefly, just until wilted and fragrant.
Stir in the milk, grated Gouda, lemon juice, salt, and nutmeg. Mix until the cheese begins to melt and the mixture comes together into a creamy filling.
Cover the pan, turn off the heat, and let the filling rest for a few minutes so the flavors fully blend.
In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the thin beef slices in a single layer.
Sauté gently, turning occasionally, for about 18 minutes until the slices are fully cooked, tender, and lightly golden.
Carefully combine the cooked beef slices with the cheese and beef filling, folding gently to keep the slices intact.
Serve warm as a main dish or use as a rich sandwich filling. Let cool completely before freezing, if storing.
