Instructions
Place the half-cooked lentils in a mixing bowl. Add the cream, garlic powder, black pepper, thyme, and lemon juice, then mix until the lentils are evenly coated and lightly creamy.
Crush the chicken stock cube into a fine powder and stir it thoroughly into the lentil mixture so the seasoning is evenly distributed.
Lay one slice of toast bread on a clean work surface and spread a generous layer of the lentil mixture evenly over it.
Top with a second slice of bread and gently press to form a compact sandwich.
Transfer the sandwich to a sandwich maker or panini press and cook for 5–7 minutes, until the bread is crisp and golden and the filling is heated through.
Carefully remove the sandwich, slice if desired, and serve hot for the best flavor and texture.
