Grilled Tomatoes with Basil Flavor (Gojjeh Kababi Ba Taame Reyhan)

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) to ensure even roasting.
Wash the tomatoes thoroughly and slice them in half horizontally.
Using the tip of a small knife, gently remove the seeds to reduce excess moisture and help the tomatoes roast rather than steam.
Lightly brush the cut sides of the tomatoes with olive oil, then season evenly with salt and black pepper.
Arrange the tomatoes cut-side up on a baking sheet, leaving a little space between each piece.
Roast in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, until the tomatoes are tender and lightly charred around the edges.
Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with the chopped fresh basil. Serve warm or at room temperature.
