Hearty Bean & Ground Meat Skillet Pizza
"Experience the ultimate comfort food fusion where a protein-packed, savory skillet filling meets the cheesy, golden indulgence of a rustic homemade pizza."
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F). Lightly oil or line a baking sheet and set aside.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent, about 3–4 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the ground meat to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until fully browned and cooked through.
Stir in the tomato sauce, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3–5 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
Fold in the mixed beans and cook briefly until evenly combined and heated through. Remove from heat.
Stretch or roll the pizza dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread the meat and bean mixture evenly over the dough.
Sprinkle the grated mozzarella generously over the top.
Bake for about 15 minutes, or until the crust is cooked through and the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, slice, and serve hot.
