Herbed Microwave Cream Sauce with Tarragon and Mint
"Transform your weeknight dinner into a gourmet experience with this silky, herb-infused cream sauce that brings French bistro elegance to your table in minutes."
Instructions
Place the butter in a microwave-safe glass dish and heat on full power for about 30 seconds, just until melted.
Add the chopped onions to the melted butter. Microwave on full power for 3 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until the onions are soft and translucent.
Sprinkle the flour evenly over the onions and butter. Stir thoroughly to form a smooth, lump-free base.
Gradually add the meat broth, pouring in small amounts and stirring well after each addition to keep the sauce smooth.
Stir in the tarragon, mint, and parsley. Microwave at 50% power for 10 minutes, stirring once or twice, until the sauce begins to thicken and the herbs release their aroma.
Season with salt and black pepper. Strain the sauce through a fine sieve into a clean dish to achieve a silky texture.
Return the strained sauce to the microwave and cook on full power for another 10 minutes, stirring once, until fully thickened.
Stir in the cream, adjust seasoning if needed, and serve warm alongside white meats.
