Juicy Stuffed Double Cheddar Cheeseburgers
"Indulge in a molten masterpiece where savory hand-pressed beef meets a hidden core of erupting cheddar cheese."
Instructions
Place the ground beef in a large bowl and season evenly with salt and black pepper. Mix gently just until combined to keep the burgers tender.
Divide the beef into four equal portions and shape into patties of even thickness.
Lay one slice of cheddar on two of the patties. Top each with another patty and press the edges together firmly to seal, fully enclosing the cheese.
Lightly brush both sides of each stuffed burger with vegetable oil.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook the burgers for about 15 minutes per side, turning once, until deeply browned and cooked through with melted cheese inside.
While the burgers cook, prepare the lettuce, tomato, and onion and set aside.
Slice the hamburger buns and spread mayonnaise and ketchup evenly on the cut sides.
Set each cooked burger on the bottom bun, add tomato, onion, and lettuce, then cap with the top bun. Serve immediately while hot.
