Stovetop Sesame Sausage Bread Rolls (Naan Sosis)
"Discover the magic of 'oven-free' baking with these golden, sesame-crusted rolls that turn simple sausages into a gourmet street-food feast."
Instructions
Prepare your bread dough according to your preferred recipe and allow it to rise until soft, airy, and doubled in size.
Bring a pot of water to a gentle boil. Add the sausages and simmer for 3 minutes to heat through and remove excess fat. Drain well and pat dry.
Divide the risen dough into portions about the size of an orange. Roll each portion into an oval or small rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
Place one sausage along the edge of each dough piece. Roll the dough tightly around the sausage, sealing the seam firmly.
Lightly grease a wide pot or deep pan. Arrange the rolls seam-side down, leaving a little space between them.
Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle evenly with sesame seeds.
Cover the pot with a clean kitchen towel and let the rolls rest for 10 minutes to relax the dough.
Place the pot over low heat, cover with a tight-fitting lid, and cook gently until the bottoms are golden and the bread is cooked through.
If needed, carefully turn the rolls and cook the other side for about 10 minutes, until evenly golden.
Serve warm, with mayonnaise, mustard, or cheese on the side if desired.
