Tender Green Beans with Tomato-Garlic Sauce
"Experience the soul-warming simplicity of Mediterranean home cooking with these luxuriously tender green beans bathed in a rich, garlic-infused tomato glaze."
Instructions
Trim the ends of the green beans and rinse them thoroughly under cold running water.
Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Add the green beans and cook uncovered for about 30 minutes, or until completely tender. Cooking uncovered helps preserve their green color.
Drain the beans well in a colander and set aside.
In a small pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the tomato sauce and crushed garlic, stirring gently to combine.
Sauté the sauce for about 3 minutes, until aromatic and slightly thickened.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste, then remove from heat.
Arrange the cooked green beans on a serving dish and spoon the warm tomato-garlic sauce evenly over the top. Serve immediately.
